  • Violinist Krzysztof Lason and pianist Piotr Salajczyk from The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice will present 20th and 21st - century Polish music on a concert taking place at the University of Louisville School of Music, on Tuesday, November 6, in Margaret Comstock Hall, at 8P.M. Among others, they will perform Aleksander Nowak's Sonata 'June-December'. 

  • Pieces "Bird of Amber" for tenor voice and piano, and "Frisk" for symphony orchestra will have first performances during the New Music Festival taking place between 2-4 November at the University of Louisville.

  • Aleksander Nowak was awarded with the Silesian Marshal culture stipend, 2nd edition 2007, for composing and recording a piece " Songs to the words by Polish and American Poets" for soprano and piano trio.

  • On July 25th 2007, during the VII Summer Music Festival
    in Rycerka Gorna and Rajcza, the AUKSO string orchestra will perform a piece "Last Days" by Aleksander Nowak. The concert will take place in Sanctuary of the Mother of God from Kazimierz in Rajcza, at 7 PM.

  • On May 30th 2007, Wednesday, in the Polish Radio Program 2, at 10.50 PM (CET) there will be a presentation of pieces representing Polish Radio at The UNESCO International Composers Tribune in Paris, June 2007. One of the pieces will be "Fiddler's Green and White Savannas Never More" by Aleksander Nowak.

  • Aleksander Nowak was awarded with the President of Gliwice City Award for artistic achievements in 2006.

  • On April 4th 2007 a concert called "Earsight" took place in Malcolm Bird Hall at the University of Louisville, during which works of students of the School of Fine Arts and School of Music were presented, including film "Oxidation" with image by Rebecca Lindsey and sound by Aleksander Nowak.

  • A premiere of "The Island of Hazes and Gales" took place on Friday, March 30th at the Silesian Philharmonic Hall in Katowice, Poland.
