I hear from time to time that good music must necessarily and exclusively be written with a pencil on paper. Because of imagination, because of the inner ear, because the computer enslaves, and so on. I don't feel any particular affinity for this kind of advice. I see it as a kind of life-hack – adding spirit or perhaps bolstering a possibly lost faith in meaning. And I have nothing against it, but only up to the point where these tips become a tool of oppression and a promise of a return to some supposedly universal and supposedly lost order. There was no such order. First, there was nothing, and then chaos ensued to this day. And the search for local orders (which do occur) should remain a wild and free pursuit, using whatever tools one likes.

With this thought, I am writing a guitar concerto. In a different rhythm and mode than "The Wedding," so I will devote separate episodes to it in the log. If anyone is interested, I will report on Saturdays.
