Sonata "June-December"

for violin and piano (2005)

The main impulse to write the piece was the need to face the classical form. No less important impulse was the desire to break this form and go beyond it. These two aspirations, the first to be consistent, to create, develop and summarize, and the second to be unpredictable, to create, contrast and destroy, meet here and clash like two themes of a classic sonata.

The piece was written in the years 2003-2005.
