Dark-haired Girl In a Black Sports Car
for chamber orchestra (2009)
for chamber orchestra (2009)
One day I stopped at a red light next to a dark-haired girl in a black sports car. Looking ahead, she nodded slightly to the beat of the radio. She must have been humming something, too, but there was little to be heard over the noise of the city. After a while, without looking my way, she drove away.
The piece was commissioned by the 52nd "Warsaw Autumn" International Festival of Contemporary Music.
